FLOATING LNG TERMINALS BY CONNECT LNG.

ABOUT US

Connect LNG believes that cleaner energy should be cheap and accessible. We make this possible by providing cost efficient solutions to clients worldwide.

Connect LNG is an independent Norwegian technology company whose core solution offering for the midstream, downstream and maritime markets is the floating jettyless Universal Transfer System (UTS®). The UTS is an already prooven solution patented by Connect LNG and comprises an universal floating platform system, floating cryogenic flexible pipes and a robust interface between the UTS and Carrier’s manifold for loading, reloading and bunkering of LNG and other energy products.

Compared to traditional jetties, the key values to our customers are: significantly lower cost, reduced schedules, installation flexibility and minimal environmental impact. The UTS is field proven and classed by DNV GL as well as the Norwegian Authorities and is suitable for small to large scale transfer of liquids.

The UTS™ technology is protected by patents and fully owned by Connect LNG AS.

THE UTS TECHNOLOGY

CUTTING COST

The system provides significantly reduced and highly predictable investment cost as compared to traditional LNG transfer solutions. This is achieved through a lean and universal design based on proven technology. The system ensures seamless integration to existing terminals, which minimizes downtime during installation.

INCREASING THE UP-TIME

A unique ship interface provides excellent hydrodynamic performance, provides maximum uptime, and enables safe hose connection to the ship's manifolds.

SIMPLE CARGO HANDLING

The UTS system is equipped with lightweight and flexible aerial hoses that are hoisted from the platform deck by the ship crane for connection to the ship manifold.

This completes the connection between the ship and the onshore terminal, and LNG can be transferred through aerial hoses, over the uts platform deck through rigid piping and on through the floating flexible hoses.

The system allows for transfer from ship to shore, shore to ship, or ship to ship.

FLEXIBILITY & MOBILITY

The UTS system is compatible with a wide range of ships and terminals with no modifications. It is easily adapted to support any pipe diameter or multiple transfer lines in parallel, to meet all requirements for strength, flow rate, pressure loss and boil off.

Since the system is floating, it provides the possibility of relocation or resale should the demand at a certain location change over time, hereby significantly reducing investment risk.

CONNECT TO ANY SHIP AND TERMINAL

When the vessel arrives, it is safely moored by a conventional multibuoy mooring system or similar, and the UTS™ system is moved out to the vessel by a tug where it is connected to the vessel by a vacuum attachment system.
